I was treated like a QUEEN here on my bday. I made last minute plans to eat here and they were able to accommodate me. I met so many amazing people in the Bahamas and I was there a month ago so I’m starting to forget names. However, the manager and all the staff was phenomenal. They had so many unique options. I had OXTAIL lasagna. It was amazing. I would recommend anyone to come here for fine dining that doesn’t completely empty your wallet. I cant wait to visit the Bahamas again!

5/5 food: The steak and lobster linguine were delicious and so filling. The prosciutto with melon was different but the right balance. The mango cheesecake was so fresh and delicious. Presentation and quality was on point.
We walked in at 6pm on a Tuesday with no reservations and they had a spot.

Fabulous experience at Café Matisse! We had an amazing lunch in one of the greatest locations in the island! The crispy fried calamari were cooked at perfection with an amazing sauce on the side. We had two specials of the day and a pizza. Truly Italian taste with an exotic twist! The staff was kind and professional. We strongly recommend it. You will be surrounded by a unique atmosphere inspired by the famous artist Matisse!
Although the seating outside held a lovely ambiance, unfortunately the customer service was lacking. We did not have a dedicated server and as a result they failed to communicate with each other. Wait time to receive food was extremely long and the manager continued to provide excuses rather than take action. When we finally received our order it was incorrect. The seafood was rubbery and the ribeye was over cooked. Every dish was unappetizing.
This was even more disappointing since we were there to celebrate a birthday and we decided to leave after the mains due to the lack of service and underwhelming meal. I would not recommend a trip here.
Sad but true Cafe Matise is closing at the end of this month - August 2023. I'm so sad. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic evening or a business lunch. The food is on par every time and the service leaves y9u wanting nothing more.
We got this restaurant recommended by our hotel and were really happy to had dinner there.
The staff is very friendly and polite. The food was delicious and was served quite fast.
The wine selection was also not bad.
We sat outside in a beautiful garden.
Prices are not so cheap, but you get a really good experience!
Very nice dining restaurant. Came here in the middle of the week. The service was very good, the waiters were courteous and the restaurant owner is very friendly. All of the meals I had was amazing (as seen in the photos below). The ambiance is very relaxing and laid back yet chic. Looking forward to dining here in due time again Gods willing.
Such a romantic atmosphere. The servers are fast and attentive. The dishes are creative and delicious. Try the avocado mousse if you dare. You will be surprised! This is one place where the high price points are definitely worth it. Call ahead for a reservation. They insisted that they didn't have any openings for Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, but by the 3nd of our conversation, we have a table for 2 and 6pm. Be flexible and take the time you can get.
